IReturning  or Inactive Christians
The community at St Brides have a good tradition of reaching out to alienated or inactive Christians.  Following the examples of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, we welcome all to our church.  As God calls people into our community, whether as infants, children or adults, we are called to be present to accompany, and to nurture, and in so doing, to deepen our own baptismal vocations within this community.

Baptism for You and for Your Children
Through baptism, we welcome adults and children into the Church.  Baptisms can be celebrated within the Sunday Mass or at other times dependant on scheduling.  If you  would like more information please speak to the Rector after Mass to arrange an appointment.

Confirmation & First Communion
Fast track Confirmation Courses are run yearly for both adults and children.  Those enrolling should be  regular in attendance at Mass.  Children need to have reached the minimum age of 8 years at the start of the course.  There is no upper age limit.

Pastoral Care of the Sick
Pastoral Care of the Sick includes providing the Sacraments of Eucharist (the body & blood of Jesus), Reconciliation, and Anointing of the Sick, all of which are powerful sources of healing.  To receive any of these sacraments, please contact the Rector.

Funerals
At one time or another, we are all confronted with the death of someone close. Funeral liturgies and Memorial Services are regularly celebrated at St Brides Church. Whether a parishioner or a member of the local community, the funeral liturgy allows us to gather together and celebrate our faith and hope in the resurrection.  To arrange a Funeral or Memorial (Requiem) Mass, please contact the Rector.

Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
Saint Brides Church offers the opportunity for all to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, You may speak with the Rector at any Mass or by e-mail dumfriesanglican@gmail.com

Weddings and the Calling of Banns of Marriage
If you are thinking of getting married and would like to have your Wedding at St Brides this can be arranged by e-mail as above.
